About Us
Al Safaa Miswak makes and exports miswak — the natural teeth-cleaning stick people have used for centuries. We supply it to distributors, retailers, and shops in dozens of countries, and we’ve been doing it long enough to know what buyers actually need.
Our sticks come from mature Salvadora persica trees. We select the roots and branches by hand, then clean, trim, and seal them ourselves. Nothing is added and nothing is treated, because miswak works best exactly as it grows. Every batch passes hygiene checks and meets the export rules of the markets we ship to.

About Miswak
Miswak is a teeth cleaning stick that comes from the Arak tree, also called Salvadora persica. People have used it for hundreds of years to keep their teeth strong and their gums healthy. You chew one end until the fibres go soft, then brush with it like a normal toothbrush. As you brush, the stick gives off natural agents that fight plaque, help stop cavities and leave your breath fresh. It also carries calcium and fluoride, the same minerals that keep enamel strong. Nothing is added to it and nothing is treated. No paste, no chemicals, no plastic to throw away. Just a stick from a tree, used the way the Sunnah teaches.

Frequently Asked Question
Miswak does not expire the way toothpaste does, but it does dry out. Sealed and kept cool, a stick stays fresh and usable for around two years. Once the seal is opened, the wood slowly loses moisture, and the fibers get harder to chew. Keep cartons off the floor, away from direct sun, and somewhere below 25 degrees if you can. Warehouses that stay hot all day are the main reason stock goes stiff before it sells.
Yes, but only when moisture gets trapped. Mould happens when a stick is sealed while still damp or when cartons sit in a humid room with no airflow. This is why we dry every batch fully before sealing and check moisture levels before packing. If you receive stock during a monsoon or a wet season, open one carton, check a few sticks, and store the rest somewhere dry rather than stacking them against an outside wall.
Yes. We send a small sample pack so you can check the thickness, freshness, smell, and fiber quality yourself before committing to a container or pallet. Most serious buyers ask for this, and we would rather you check first than be unhappy later. Sample requests go through our contact page.
You can start with just 500 sticks, or 1,000 if you want your own branded packaging, since printing carries a setup cost. That is a deliberately low bar. Most exporters will not talk to you unless you book a full container, which leaves smaller shops and new brands stuck. We would rather you start small, see how the product actually moves in your market, and scale up once you know your numbers.
Yes. We supply plain sticks, our own retail packs, or fully custom packaging with your logo, your language, and your barcode. You send us the artwork, and we handle the rest. Details are on our miswak packaging page.
